Jules Verne wrote a little ditty about traveling around the world in eighty days. I read it as a child, and once again later, but my memories have been distorted by the few movies directly based on the book, or derived from the book or other imaginings of the story.

Work was really light today, so I spent a lot of time simply answering questions via phone. I sat on the porch while the kids rode their bikes on the street a bit. I sat on the deck while they played in the yard, dissatisfied with the dirt they've put in the inflatable pool.

It was hot today, so we did some take-out burgers with thick milkshakes for dinner.

Easy day.
