Day 308 - Just Before Returning to School, Part 1
The weekend has arrived. The workweek hit with renewed energy, and home life carried on.
The daughter's fever broke, and her toothache is just a memory, but one she brings up when she eats something. Whatever ailed her has passed, and she is in her normal spirits again.
The kids are ramping up to restart in-person classrooms. The little starts on Tuesday, and the bigger in February. We're anxious and cautious, but also excited to have that slice of kind of normal. There's still going to be social distance stuff in the classroom, but teacher access and classroom routines should help both of them more than we seem to be able to do.
We are keeping an eye on the new strains, and are pensive about the infection numbers, but hopeful that between the care planned, and the impending vaccinations, that we can make it through.
Work has returned with a vengeance. Well, just a lot of meetings and changes. We were trying to remain stable through the holidays, starting at Halloween (think "Merry Hallowthankmas!"). Now that the holidays have passed, all of the normal work resumes, and the things we did during the break that we couldn't deliver are getting delivered. It's surely the normal we had in October, but that seems so long ago that it seems like a lot now.
Everyone is healthy.
