After weeks of trying, the right person did the right thing, and now my phone service is complete!

Because of age and device hiccups, we got new phones a while back. Everything was "fine" after a few calls or visits, except my SMS didn't work. Our accounts needed to be freed from their pre-5G CDMA shackles, and my phone in particular needed to be "registered" with the carrier's network. BYOD, and all that.

It seems that someone correctly entered my device in their registry, but then skipped the CDMA-less switch to our account. While discussing this history with the service agent today, my phone started receiving recently queued messages! Seems while she was checking, she noticed that box was available and clicked it, and viola! SMS works!

Now, back to my other stuff. Just thought I'd document that since I'd brought it up before.
