Not really COVID related, nor about that struggle, but a huge event today.

We don't watch live television, except maybe sports or other things we are interested in and know about in advance. But it seems around bedtime last night, Russia invaded Ukraine.

This has been building for a while now, with political spitting and cyber attacks. In the last week or so, a build-up of Russian troops and equipment along the Ukraine border. Much has been shared in the news feeds and on the various medias. It seemed clear that this wasn't posturing or any form of bluff, and last night it became a reality as missiles hit Ukrainian cities and airports, and troops and tanks flooded across the border.

I'm sure, as with a sudden bar fight, there are reasons we're not aware. It looks and sounds like a brute wanting his way, but that remains to be seen. Really what's happening is a giant army, backed by a more giant army, is attacking a much smaller country, with not enough forces of their own, and not enough direct military support from the world.

I wanted to make note, because it's a big deal. And there is pandemic related stuff, as I think the whole world thought this kind of stuff was on pause while we all dealt with health issues caused by breathing.
