Day 746 - All Fool's Day
Still war in Ukraine. Still pandemic around the world. Same stuff, small changes. No jokes.
Kids had the week off from school for Spring Break. For grade school kids, it's not as glamorous as it might seem in the movies. At our kids' school, they had "all day fun days" all week, except today. Today, the kids spent their last weekday of the break at home. Well, the older went to a friend's house for most of the day. The younger played with or watched his tablet all day, while the parents continued to work nearby, because it's just Friday for us.
It turns out the younger, the kindergartner, has developed a fondness for provocative movies that he's watching parts of while the parents aren't paying attention. I hadn't expected skin-flick curiosity for a few more years. The elder kid is getting into relationship shows; her latest favorite is How I Met Your Mother. Racy topics sometimes, sure, and the occasional swimsuit-level cladding, but much tamer as a byproduct of being on broadcast television in the early part of the century.
We survived break without going anywhere. I think I could use a vacation, though.
Everyone's healthy.
