Day Twenty-One - Three Weeks
Three weeks ago today was the last day in the office, where we prepped for the social distancing, supported by our companies, and kind of compelled by our kids’ schools.
Today was also the first day for my third grader to return to school. There were just two weeks closed, while they figured things out, followed by spring break. Today they broke out the Google tools and started some distance learning.
The wife took point, and I basically worked form the dining room table. I’m not sure how the learning went, but the kiddo is happy about seeing teachers and classmates again. The status report at dinner time included some feedback on not getting through all of the math. Really, not a bad day, then.
Tomorrow will no doubt be my turn to try to help.
My day was pretty light, with some morning meetings and afternoon e-mail. I tried to help keep the little little out of the hair of the others, but he likes being in there. We did go for a couple longer than normal bike rides, with the hope it might help burn some energy. They seemed to turn around into fatigue monsters. We’ll have to work on that.
Everyone still seems healthy. I’m getting a little allergy whipped, which is making me congested and sleepy. I’m nervous about coughing in front of strangers while on our walks.
