Happy New Year!

The memes for the last couple of years haven't been great.

Twenty twenty won! Twenty twenty, too!

We all know that 2020 wasn't a great year. Started the pandemic, caused me to start this blog. We figured it out, though. It didn't last the weeks we thought it would take to blow over, or the second thought of a months-long thing. It's turned into a years-long thing.

This year, because there isn't a great tie in to the memes, must be going to end up different, right?

The daughter and I stayed up late to watch the countdowns. The boy and wife went to bed much earlier. We bounced between a couple of the shows, watching music acts, getting news flashbacks, seeing celebrity predictions, and paying more time to games on our tablets than we should have needed to stay up late.

Woke up a little lazy. Everything looks the same. There was a murder already nearby, at a New Year's Eve after party. Everything seems the same.

Here's hoping the right things get different.
