It's spring now, as we can tell by a whole gloomy day of rain.

There have been mountains of snow since the early winter snowstorms, which are now shrinking because of the spring rains. It's been a nice break from sub-freezing temperatures, but it's not quite 40°F outside, so the rain is slightly melting and largely compacting the snow, and filling in any dips or valleys with pools and rivers. There are winter storm warnings for overnight, so it'll likely pile on top of all of this water with ice and snow.
