Day 1072 - No Snowstorm
There was a thick dusting from yesterday morning's snow, and little fluffy flurries through the day. Today was devoid of any real snow until pretty much the end of the school day.
Snow started to fall fairly heavily at about 3PM, after essentially not snowing all day. The forecast does have a winter storm warning starting at 6PM, so I guess it's been expected to not have been much so far. As the snow started to build up, I decided to fetch the boy from school a little early, and pick up a grocery order for the wife on the way. He wasn't happy that I got there so early, as he had just started on an art project, which is mostly what he lives for these days. We got through traffic without incident. I struggled the Jeep back over the glacier into its spot much more quickly than when I parked it yesterday. We went inside and started preparing for the next few days with kids at home.
The schools have already cancelled attendance for the next two days because of the threat of up to two feet of snow in some places, plus high winds and low temperatures. All good, I guess, but usually this ends up causing the weather to be less than spectacular and very far from the hype. Fingers crossed.
Everyone is healthy.
