Day Twenty-Seven - Easter
We're not the kind of people to make a big deal out of Easter, but the kids get a bucket of candy and usually a toy, and tied to some form of egg hunting tradition, I guess, it gets tucked away somewhere and they have to find it.
Of course, this is made more difficult by having the dogs, as they have no problem finding candy, or anything, really. The kids found their chocolate eggs and rabbits, jelly beans in eggs, and Lego kits. Something to do on a cold, snowy day.
Today is a cold, snowy day, so we spent the morning assembling new Lego kits. The older little got a Lego Friends glamping set, and the little little got a Spider-Man fight set. She didn't need help, but he did. She curiously has patience when assembling Lego, and he did initially, but lost interest before the first of four bags was emptied to create the Spider-Man jet and villain mechanical enemy. He also didn't want to pause, so I finished it for him. He then took to smashing them together for a while, asking me to repair them, so he could repeat.
Lunch, and nap, and now we're trying to weigh the opportunities for things to do, as great big snowflakes fall outside. Maybe another episode of Star Wars? It's only the afternoon, but we're not going anywhere. More laundry, maybe, but nothing more adventurous planned.
Everyone's healthy.
