Day Twenty-Eight - Easter Monday
Or as we call it at our house, Monday.
We've settled into the new routines.
There's still a little struggling to get the third grader to start, but once she gets going, she gets into it. Frequent video chats with teachers and classmates really help. Mom's been taking the bulk of the school home monitoring, while Dad tried to help, but mostly keeps the network savvy, and the other one engaged, when possible.
The little one is digging deep for sweets. Found a cookie stash used for snacks, and ate them all. Started in on remaining Easter candy, almost all gone. Gave him an allegedly age-appropriate game to try to learn to read, because while he likes stories, he hates letter or word games. He hates it as much as anything else we've tried.
It was nasty cold and windy today, with some spots of snow. No one's questioned for bike rides today. The rest of the week looks to be the same. This should be it, mostly, though. It has been cold and snowy later recently, but it's pretty clear and dry, unlike the last few. Google reminds us with looks back.
Mom and dad work, and do school or snacks or lunch or whatever between. Then dinner, bath, a little playtime (tonight was dance lessons), and bedtime struggles. It'll be nice when it's warm again, because those bike rides break a lot of tension.
Everyone is healthy.
