After spending a hard week trying to get through the Windows XP activation trouble, and getting the plethora of updates from Microsoft, I was finally able to deliver the PC to my friend. Their DSL hadn't been switched on yet, so we couldn't get the PC connected to the 'net, but we did get it connected to his keys and monitor.

Of course, while we were there, I took a peek at his wife's laptop, and found other malware on it. Some evil websearch process had infected her machine, and was redirecting searches and other web links to pages other than what she'd intended.

Evil, evil, evil people.
