Vikings Take Packers 2-0
No, that's not the score, that's two Vikings victories over the Packers this season.
Both victories with a last second kick, too.
That brings the total standings to 45-44-1.
The game seemed to be played fairly evenly. Sadly, poorly overall, but evenly none the less. The Vikings were scoreless until the last moments of the second quarter, the Packers holding on to a 7-point lead. The Vikings got a touchdown tying the game. Favre responded in less than a minute with another, giving them back their lead.
The second half was all Vikings, though, with 14 unanswered points, giving them a long time in the lead, with Favre pulling off another late game touchdown to tie the game.
The Vikings pulled some luck out of a hat, and ended up with the ball deep in Packer territory, and stopped the clock with just two seconds to go. Sound familiar? The kick is good! The Vikings pull out alone in second place.
The Bears are two games up, the Vikings a game ahead of the Lions, and the Pack dismally in fourth with a hard to recover from 2-8 record.
A good day for the Purple and fans.
