The first news this morning was of the passing of Prince Philip.

We're not British subjects, but Queen Elizabeth has been on the throne my entire life, with Prince Philip beside her, of course. That's about as far as their direct impact goes for me. Of course, as allies and world leaders and all of that, more, but otherwise just celebrity for me.

They haven't announced a cause, noting only that he passed peacefully.
