Almost a year after attacks into Israel from Gaza, Israel launches a ground invasion into Lebanon. This is surely the beginning of something bigger to come.

I just finished watching a few documentaries and news stories about the attack a year ago. I'm a little embarrassed that I didn't get a feeling for the scope and scale of the attacks then. I understand more of the outrage at that invasion, and the lack of attention it received in the moment and since.

It's hard to nail down when this began, but I think it's pretty safe to say that the attacks on 7 October 2023 is a pretty good place to stick a pin.

This is likely to get ugly, given the tension and seemingly constant war in the area, not to mention the general animosity since Israel was recognized as a nation after WWII.

I hope this doesn't get as washed away by the news as the attack last year, or lost in the election noise that has the attention of the nation.
