I'm Not Lazy
Well, maybe I am, but this workday is not enough to base that assessment on.
I'm sitting at my latest gig, after completing the website transformation that I was assigned to finish. I've got a small list of things left to do, but each of them requires information or resources from someone else. Last week they were all on vacation. Today they're all back, no doubt catching up from their vacations.
In my efforts to check-in with these people, I've been told "oh, yes, I've looked at it and it looks great." After which I've returned to my desk, filled with all manner of hope that they've been thorough. Sure enough, the web log shows little or no activity. Certainly nothing from this week to indicate that they've recently looked at it.
Sure, it's only mid-day on the first work day of the week. Since I left last week, however, only some of the pages have been viewed. Certainly not all. Certainly not enough to indicate a thorough review.
I know, people have other things to do. Probably even better things to do. I know I do. Sadly, I can't get out this firewall to my servers on which I'd be doing some of these things. Instead, I'm reviewing some print materials (magazines), on-line references (web surfing), and maintaining a diatribe of my efforts (uh, blogging...).
