I meant to hammer on this last night or earlier this morning.

I've given up on building MySQL from scratch, and am now trying to import the existing databases and tables to the new version. I'm having trouble because I don't have direct access to the machine, and some of the details intimated in shell sessions aren't persisting through the web-based tool I'm using to run commands remotely. I'm sure it seemed like a good idea to whoever wrote the tool; if I wrote a script instead of trying command-line execution...

Today I hate computers.
