For the first time since this server's been running, Apache shut down without permission.

I'm guessing it had to do with the hammering I gave the machine yesterday while trying to upgrade the MySQL server. Without restarting the Apache server, I restarted the database server several times. I'm sure there were chances that scripts were actively holding connections...
