Katrina In Kentucky
Downgraded to a "tropical storm," Katrina continues Northeast.
After laying waste to big parts of Louisiana, Missouri, and Alabama, Katrina moved into Kentucky and Tennesee. She's slowing down, and is expected to either disappear or move offshore tomorrow.
Lest we forget, PDBlack is serving in Alabama. I haven't heard from her, nor has she made a post to her blog in a couple days; and that entry was about the beautiful weather in the area. Is that irony? I can never tell.
Reports are that the whole area is out of power. That'd make it hard to post to the web, so we can cut her some slack. Being one that doesn't worry, I'm not. Worrying, that is; I'm not one to worry, not that I'm not one that doesn't worry...
I'm curious how she weathered the storm, and how her neighborhood withstood the winds and rain. She posted that she lives on the "flood plains" near the Coosa River. Since flooding has been reported everywhere Katrina's gone, I can only imagine that one of those wispy arms reaching over that part of Alabama threw down some mighty rains.
I'm sending as much of the Force as I can muster in your direction, babe.
