Vikings Must Win
The Vikings host the Steelers tomorrow, and they've got to win.
Technically they can still make the playoffs if they don't win, but it's better if they do. Yes, it's always better if the team wins, but it's crunch time.
The Vikings are just one game back from the Bears for the NFC North division title. A Vikings victory forces the Bears to win, or rather isn't detrimental if the Bears do win.
If the Vikings loose and the Bears defeat the Falcons, then the Vikings are two games back again, and at best can tie at the end of the season; this by the Vikings winning the next two games, and the Bears loosing both. If this happens then this will be the only way the Vikings can take the Bears in the resulting tie-breaker.
If the Vikings loose, and the Falcons defeat the Bears, then the Vikings remain one game behind, but they still need the Packers to win in order for the Vikings to win the tie breaker, or to allow the Vikings to win the last two games and come out one ahead.
If the Vikings win, then it's a different story.
If the Vikings beat the Steelers, then they're either going to be tied (with a Bears loss) or remain one game behind (with a Bears victory). Obviously a Bears loss is better for the Vikings.
The Bears at Packers game is a crucial Packer must-win for the Vikings. It's a Vikings-favorable tie-breaker, and an opportunity for the Vikings to just plain beat the Bears for the championship.
