Yesterday was a busy day for some blog spammer. OK, so a busy day for some blog spammer's bot. This little, futile, under-read, barely noticeable blog got hit with 50 comment posts from someone with an e-mail address ending in "vippi.fi" (of course, each "person" was different for each post). Each asked if they could "employ this wonderful post" on their site. Of course, it is just a lame way to get the link to their stoopid sale or virus-delivery site.
Most of the comments here are such. A small number come from valued friends and other actual readers. Since the scale has tipped so greatly toward the junk now, I've changed the comment posting strategy on the site, to force moderation. Posts will now start in an unpublished manner, I'll get an e-mail alerting me of them, and can choose to publish the real ones.
I hate all of you dumb junk posters (as this post gets pushed to Facebook, Twitter, Buzz, and about 15 other blog aggregation sites). Same goes for junk e-mailers. I've got not much sympathy for those that put up with them, visiting their lame links and even pondering their dumb offers. But mostly I just hate the senders, not the readers...
