I took my bike for a quick ride on Tuesday, during which I noticed my right peg was bent at the end. This may have either caused or been caused by the tipping adventure I had last summer.

I have been wanting to replace the pegs with foot boards, for a more comfortable ride, so I ordered some on Wednesday. I'm sure I can put up with the bend, or could figure out a way to flatten it again. But, given the ease with which it grabbed my foot and toppled me before, and how irritated I was on my short warm-up ride today, I don't need it to remain any longer than necessary.

They were scheduled to arrive sometime between next Wednesday and Friday. They tried to deliver them yesterday, while we were gone at baseball. Checking online said they'd try again on Monday, sometime before 10PM, which is very helpful. Today, as we returned from a visit to the park, the UPS guy rolled up and handed them to one of the kids as we walked into the house. Not me, but the kid. Signature of person over 21 required, but at least delivered, I guess.

Now I need to mount them. My pal said he'd help. We'll see if we can coordinate. I did send a service request to the motorcycle shop across town. Mine closed recently, and I'm overdue for an oil change and related maintenance. I mentioned this, and that if they can bolt 'em on quick and cheap enough, I'll let 'em, otherwise I'll try it with my pal. Time, more than money, will be the decider here.
