Another Backerkit pledge reward arrived a few days ago. I got around to opening it this morning.

I've got a few (too many) Munchkin games. Still, when the opportunity to get in early on the Munchkin Second Edition was offered, I jumped in. I should probably update the list where I answered the question "which Munchkin do you have?" I think I've gotten a smaller expansion or two since I made that list, too.

Sadly, it seems that some of us received our boxes shipped in bags instead of packed inside other boxes. Until this shipment, I hadn't given it any thought. SJG sent an email noting their disappointment. When I opened mine, I found that my boxes were damaged. The full-game box has a hole poked in, probably by the other, and the other, the Big Box expansion, is crushed and torn. Nothing in the Big Box expansion box was damaged, and will probably be integrated in with the Big Box anyway, so I'm not worried about either.

I did send a note and snapshot, as asked to do. And I thought I'd memorialize it here, too.

I haven't yet opened them, as mentioned, except to see if the Big Box expansion contents were hurt. The Big Box has a sheet of chits, a package of cards, and a sticker, so nothing really to get damaged with as little as the box was impacted. The box doesn't look any worse than some of the other boxes I've had for a while, although I don't think any others have holes. The hole is a little more disappointing, but it won't affect the integrity of the box, nor likely anything inside of it. That box is still wrapped in plastic, so I haven't checked inside. I expect it to have a bunch of cards, and some cardboard bits, and little plastic coins and bits. It looks like the damage to the Big Box was probably when it crushed into the other box, so there's little chance it caused other harm.

I'm looking forward to making some time to peel the box open and give the second edition a whirl!
