New Pledge to Blog
I've been remiss.
Actually, I've been busy writing my own content management software, as previously threatened, that has dynamic WYSIWYG editing, wiki-like static page creation and linking, web log and forums, and some new anti-spam techniques. I hope to have this up and running within the next week, and if all goes well, except for the style sheet associated with the blog, you won't notice.
I'm trying to make the software open, flexible, and require no pre-runtime setup. Should be the case that one could deploy the WAR, perhaps make a change or two to the associated web.xml, if one wished, but otherwise all of it would be taken care of as the program runs for the first time.
I'm also working to make the software work with multiple virtual domains on the same server. It should be the case that the WAR could be deployed on the server's Tomcat (or similar) server and that anyone who puts the correct entries in their site's web.xml file would suddenly have the power of the software with no extra effort.
We'll see how cool I am when it's done...
