The Whole Ten Yards (2004)
Most sequels leave a little to be desired when compared to the first film, and this one was no exception. The wife was sure we'd seen it, but she was wrong.
The film was funny, but much of the charm of the characters and story were left with the first film, The Whole Nine Yards.
Almost the whole cast returns, including Kevin Pollack as the father of his character from Nine, who died and was burned to a crisp. Oz, Matthew Perry's character, has gone off the deep end with his home security obsession, but he's still otherwise happily married to Cynthia (Natasha Henstridge), the ex-wife to Jimmy (Bruce Willis), who's in hiding and still married to Jill (Amanda Peet). Jimmy's gone off his own deep end, and Jill's having a hard time making a kill. The other three scheme behind Oz's back, and his ignorance is responsible for much of the humor in the film.
Your typical near-miss sequel.
