Division Square-off
The NFC Central teams play each other in a position affirming 1-4 and 2-3 pair of games.
The Vikings are at the Lions, and the Packers are at the Bears. Should be a couple of sure-thing games, but in this division you never know.
There's turmoil in Detroit as they've fired the head coach that has let the Vikings dominate the games with like a 10-0 winning streak over the last five years. Additionally, the new coach has decided to bench their starting quarterback, who hasn't been playing very well.
This could work well or badly for our Vikings. If the team is charged by the change, either through new coaching skills, quarterback, or some bit of anger at the turmoil, they could play harder than expected. Of course, they could be lost under the new management, and get completely trounced.
The Vikings could also take this change and let some guard down. They've not been playing as well as expected this year, although better in the last few weeks. If the Lions' offense isn't up to anything good, then our defense will have little to go with, and we'll have to rely on our oft questionable offense.
The Packers/Bears game is a hard one to root for. Of course, in the run for the play-offs, we hope for a Packer victory, to bring the gap to one game (assuming a Vikings victory). On the other hand, the friendly competition of the "border battle" says we want to see the Packers loose.
What I want doesn't matter, so I'm going with the Bears and Vikings for the wins, maintiaining the current division order, but separating the top and bottom of the pack by another pair of games.
