The Loins won their game with the 49ers last night on Monday Night Football, and end the week with the same 14-2 record the Vikings have, tied for first in the NFC North division, and in the NFC in general.
The Lions have the tie-breaker win over the Vikings, having won in their first head-to-head game.
Vikings play at the Lions next Sunday night for a winner-take-all division champion title, and first seed in the playoff rounds, with a bye in the Wildcard playoffs. The Vikings need to win to take the title. The Lions need to win or tie, because they have the tie-breaker should they end the season with 14-2-1 records.
The loser will be a top wildcard seed, possibly facing tie-breaker rules with the Eagles if they win their game next week. The Eagles and loser from the Vikings at Lions game will battle for the first and second wildcard spots. The Packers and Commanders also have tied records, and will be playing for the third and fourth wildcard spots, easily determined if one wins and the other doesn't, or hitting their tie-breakers should their games come out the same.
We always like a nail-biter, right? Bring it down to the last plays to see who takes the banner.
